WEWALk

Project Overview:

WEWALK is a social application designed to connect individuals through walking and outdoor training groups, fostering a sense of community while promoting fitness and healthy living.

As part of an international network, WEWALK aims to seamlessly blend fitness and social interaction, creating an environment that supports motivation, thriving health, and a sense of belonging among its users.

My Role:

As the unit designer, I was responsible for the entire design process of the WEWALK branding.

This included user research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design. I collaborated with a team of developers, marketers, and fitness experts to ensure the app’s design was aligned with its goal of combining fitness and community seamlessly.

Challenges.

The primary challenges included designing an interface that encourages social interaction while being easy to use for fitness tracking and group management. The app needed to accommodate diverse user needs, from casual walkers to serious fitness enthusiasts, and provide features that motivate users to participate in group activities.

Solutions.

To tackle these challenges, I conducted extensive user research, including surveys and interviews, to understand the motivations and pain points of potential users. I developed user personas and journey maps to guide the design process. Wireframes and interactive prototypes were created and tested with users to refine the design. The final design features a clean, intuitive interface with social features like group chat, event creation, and progress tracking, all aimed at enhancing user engagement and community building.
